Report Sightings

The California Parrot Project relies on public participation to document and monitor wild parrot populations in California. If you have seen wild parrots in California you can participate in the collection of information about the distribution, roosting, nesting and feeding habits of parrots. We need your information to be as complete as possible. If you are not sure about the species you are reporting, please refer to our identification guide.

The more you can tell us, the more valuable your information. Please feel free to elaborate with pertinent details of your sightings.

If you find a deceased parrot in the wild, please contact us with the date and location. We will try to arrange pick-up of the deceased parrot. The remains will be used to obtain DNA for analysis.

Thank You
